.5ml and 1.5ml TabTop Tubes eliminate the handling and safety problems associated with conventional microcentrifuge tubes. The patented vertical tab on the flat cap is ideal for handling samples in rotors, racks, heat blocks and baths. Contamination of the internal cap skirt is eliminated by pressing the thumb against the levered TabTop. Hazardous aerosols are vented out the back of the tube and away from the researcher. TabTop Tubes also feature a 2-sector (.5ml tube) and a 4-sector (1.5ml tube) Delta Well Lid for reactant loading within the lid prior to spinning. Each sector in the .5ml sector holds 15µl and each 1.5ml lid holds 20µl. Normal surface tension is tripled in every sector allowing for cap closure without sample intermixing. Upon centrifugation, vector forces provide a controlled mixing at the bottom of the tube. The loaded Delta Lid also provides an ideal visual confirmation that all necessary components have been added prior to spinning. | |||
